Say Anything’s Max Bemis and Eisley’s Sherri DuPree-Bemis, now as a married couple with an adorable baby girl, have started a band. This is their debut release and I was so excited to work on it. I first heard about the project on Matt Pryor's Something To Write Home About podcast, then two weeks later, I got the call to do the art for their debut album.
The theme of the record is that Sheri and Max are two outlaws on the run around 1978-1982. I didn't know Max Bemis was now writing comic books but once I told him I wanted to do something related to sequential art he just said go with and RUN! If you are a fan of these two you probably already know they are awesome people and you will be happy to know they are even better to work with!
Here are the raw layout files for the LP jacket.
The front and back of the insert are a collage of illustrations based on the song lyrics.
