This is the Polyvinyl Records preorder shirt available for sale as a package with the of Montreal album, Innocence Reaches. The design is selections of David Barnes’ poster inside of the album I regrouped and illustrated again. The animals in the illustration are almost exact to David’s art, but I embellished a bit and added to the man in the wrestling mask. Thought it’d be cool to have a little of my style infused.
I also printed the shirts using a water-based discharge white underbase. Over the underbase I used a thinned CMY process blend. The design is printed on 100% cotton American Apparel tees.
The final image is my original draft of the shirt. At David’s request I swapped out the big cats for the opossums. He was very delicate asking this because he knows how much I love cats. I was a little upset for awhile.
